Behind the scenes: Finding balance in chaos

Hello! Welcome to my diary! I’m Ankita, the storyteller behind this blog and a system administrator working at the airport, where the only constant is change, and the unexpected is just part of the job description. Whether it’s a server outage at 2 AM or navigating the endless sea of travelers, my work life is a an immaculate blend of technology and turbulence.

After almost a year and a half of navigating this high-pressure environment, I realized I needed something to ground me, something to remind me that there’s more to life than just work. And that’s where Dear Diary came in.

So, why Dear Diary? Think of it as a nod to those sweet, classic, secret journals we kept as kids the ones where we poured our hearts out, captured our biggest dreams, and maybe even wrote down our silliest worries and secrets of our middle and high school crushes. This blog is my modern-day version of that. It’s a place where I can document life’s moments, big and small, with the same honesty and openness we had when we were kids.

But Dear Diary isn’t just about looking back; it’s about embracing the present. It’s a love letter to my inner child the part of me that still finds joy in the little things, laughs at life’s weirdness, and believes that every day has a story worth telling. Here, I share the highs, the lows, the funny, and the heartbreaks because turns out life’s like; as my mom calls it Ugadi chutney. A beautiful mix of sour, sweet, and sometimes hard to swallow.

As a system administrator at the airport, my world is filled with technology and nightly outages, but here, I focus on the more human and emotionally connected aspects of things the moments that make me laugh out loud, smile through tears, or cry through laughs. the reflections that keep me grounded, and the little secrets that remind me of who I am beyond my job.

So, what can you expect from Dear Diary? I think, a bit of everything! I’ll be spilling the tea on my everyday adventures some that’ll have you slapping your knees, some that might make you relate to Taylor swift lyrics a whole lot than you usually do, and a few that’ll leave you wondering, “oh I’m not the only crazy one”.

I’ll also delve into the realities of the circus act of juggling a demanding career with a desperate need to get away from it and explore the creative world, The struggle is real, but it’s all part of the fun! And who knows? You might even find a bit of your own story in mine. Oh, and I also have two cats I absolutely love, who add a little extra joy (and chaos) to the mix!

I hope this blog becomes a place where you can escape too, whether it’s for a quick laugh, a moment of reflection, or just a reminder that we’re all navigating this crazy journey together.

As Taylor swift rightly said, “Time, mystical time, cutting me open, Then healing me fine.” With a diary full of stories and more to come I’m ready for it. The pages are empty and winter is coming.

Thanks for joining me on this adventure! I can’t wait to see where it takes us.
