Okay, listen, I’m not saying consumerism is therapy, but there’s something suspiciously healing about the way my life felt 19% more manageable after I got those lights and candles that made my room feel like a cottage tucked away in the woods of southern Italy, where I imagine, I am a witch crafting stories and spells in my journal I bought from Amazon Canada.
This post is a lovingly curated collection of random Amazon finds that have absolutely no business making me feel as safe and inspired as they do.
From journals that look like they hold ancestral trauma to mugs that say “I’m processing something. Leave me alone. These are some random delusional comforts keeping me semi-functional and sane right now.
You’re welcome.
1. a journal that makes me want to write about stepping into a world of fairies and magic
A soft, cream, linen covered journal hand embroidered with daisies. Like it was crafted by a fairy who whispered kind things into every stitch.
I use this journal for everything. Grocery lists, emotional unraveling, drafting my next manifesto or just plain old doodling. It doesn’t judge my messy handwriting or that fact that everything I write in there is absolutely nonsensical.
2. Making Candles that smell and feel I can finally regulate my emotions.
Okay, hear me out. I know this is a time consuming process for sure. But honestly, it is so therapeutic and fun! Mixing scents, colours, shapes, is such a great way to balance your energies and also bask in the peace it brings at the end. I thoroughly enjoy candle making. I will be attaching the links to my kits, containers and fragrances I love having at home. I even picked up a few candle holders from Bath and Body Works. I got all of them separately so I can enjoy the process and make it entirely unique to me.
Although if you are just a beginner and want to start with a whole kit. You can do that too, it comes with everything. I will attach the link to that as well.
My Candle-Making Essentials :

https://amzn.to/43XbDiW – The soy wax, melter, wicks and wick stickers.
https://amzn.to/3GihlSK – The candle dye for colours
https://amzn.to/4cGqG2N – I personally love the smell of coffee or chocolate so this would be the best one with the scent so strong you’d feel like you’re in a coffee shop on a Sunday morning.
https://amzn.to/3Y9qL9e – like I said I love coffee so I use these coffee bean silicone molds and once the coffee beans are made I put them in a container to get the look and the feel of a coffee shop around my house.
https://amzn.to/42ot9vp – The aforementioned containers.
Is this absolutely necessary? No. Does it help with healing my soul? Absolutely.
All these candles for me are mental clarity in wax form. I light them when I’m spiraling but still want my house to smell like I’m emotionally balanced and possibly doing yoga (I’m not).
3. A soul-warming incense waterfall
A tiny black ceramic sculpture where the smoke cascades down like in a fantasy novel, and yes, it’s just as hypnotic as it sounds. I light it while journaling, just reading a book, or whenever I want my space to feel like a sanctuary for emotional processing. It smells and looks enchanting. Definitely a must have.
4. A bed/couch table that has made my life easier on so many levels.
I don’t have a desk. I am the desk. This foldable, adjustable table has become my reading and writing altar. It doubles as a breakfast-in-bed tray, a work-from-anywhere station, and even has a tilting top to match my ever-changing comfort levels. The built-in storage? Perfect for stashing snacks, because creativity runs on treats, obviously.
5. Solar string lights- turning any corner into a fairy lit daydream.
You hang them above your journal nook and step back, and suddenly you’re back In your secret cottage in the woods writing secret manifestos or crafting spells under tiny glowing lanterns. These lights charge all day in whatever sunlit spot you can find, then gently twinkle at night as you scribble your next chaotic thought. Bonus is they’re solar, so your only commitment is to remember to charge them in sunlight.
6. Wooden soprano ukelele
I never set out to be a musician (well… I learnt to play the keyboard as a kid but I stopped after a while cuz *cough* adulthood *cough*)
But whenever I find the time now, I strum this little ukelele. I know I’m at my worst but atleast it sounds beautiful.
Things that are still in my cart (Because I’m manifesting)
- A fur throw blanket to decorate my cozy corner https://amzn.to/4jBvysc
- A smart colour changing aesthetic looking lamp to have behind the TV and watch my Barbie movies with. https://amzn.to/3YauF1x
- A princess canopy, because I mean… obviously. https://amzn.to/3Gxw24n
Thoughts from the cozy corner
Do these things solve my progressively worse mental health issues? no. Do they make the unraveling cuter and bearable? Absolutely. I don’t buy these things to escape reality I buy these things to aestheticize it. And if you’re also someone who thrives on slow rituals, delusions and semi functional mental health coping mechanisms, these are for you.
